Network Marketing Frustrations

In our business the frustrations are usually due to a lack of understanding of network marketing. Here we have a 200 billion dollar industry and you still have people who have no clue what it really is and no clue that they can literally change their life if they were to engage in a simple, proven & predicable pattern of activities with the right company and right leadership.

So to help you manage frustrations properly, what are some of the most common ones you can expect?

1. People not realizing that the industry is powerful. This is the most efficient way to move product around the world and has the ability to create millionaires out of individuals who don’t necessarily have the skill set to do it else where. Does that mean it’s easy? No, by that I mean that everything in the industry is actually learnable – everything.

2. Distributors joining for a quick fix and not realizing it takes 3-5 years to build something significant. It’s a very predictable industry.

In fact so predictable I can tell you that 98% of people joining the industry will feel that in year #1 they are under paid relative to the efforts they put in. This is because they’re laying a foundation. In year #2 they will feel adequately compensated based on the time they have invested - provided they stay systems driven and don’t stop. By year #3 it’s predictable that they’ll feel there’s probably nothing else you could be doing to realize the type of income you’ve created.

What does all this mean? When you start, don’t start by saying, “I’ll give this a try for 6 months or a year.” Start and commit to working it within your allotted time for 36 months bare minimum. What business do you know that you can start, be profitable within 2-10 weeks and create a massive income stream in 3 years? Why then, do people enter Network Marketing thinking it’s the magic pill and quick fix for them? Crazy.

3. Once a distributor earns $5000 or more monthly, they want to recreate everything because their ego gets in the way. Look, I’m a big advocate for creativity, but when you have an industry that is approximately 72 years old, you have many many individuals who earn multiple 6 figures monthly (and some who earn almost 7 figures monthly). Why on earth would you try to recreate something?

Follow the systems and pattern of activities that are taught by your business partners (or “upline” as the industry calls it) and don’t attempt to get distracted by your ego. When you’re making over $25,000 monthly then you can start tinkering with ideas in addition to what your leadership teaches – never instead of.
