Travel Plans Don't Always Go As Planned

The joys of living and traveling from New England:

Well my 45th birthday was an interesting one. Kim and I left our home in R.I. at 6am to go to our Global Entry Interview with Customs. We were approved and ready by 9:30am. Our 2pm flight was moved to 2:55, then 3:25, then 4:15 then 6 then canceled. Delta put us up in the Hyatt to return the next day for the same 2pm NY connection flight and then 9pm out of NY to Israel. Our partner Ron Druyan made it out of Boston and via Philly made it to Israel to start working.

Kim and I, finally rested and ready to go to Israel, checked in nice and early at 11am only to be told that Kim’s passport expires in August of 2011 and Israeli law states that it cannot expire within 6 months of the end of your stay which would be September 4th 2011. Kim was told she couldn’t fly with me. She got a ride home and I’m typing this from the plane between Boston and NY.

Tonight I’ll head off to Israel solo to start a productive work week and I’ll video each day for an update so you can see how our build goes. It’s interesting launching a new group whether it’s in the States or abroad. We launched this together in December. As of now Israel is rolling out approximately 5000 BV weekly and producing 5-10 new EAQ 360’s. By mid summer our goals there are to keep up over 15,000 BV and 20 eaq 360’s weekly. What a business when you can predictably role out markets and create annuity type income. Stay tuned for the video updates……

10 Tips to Make You a 10!

One of my past mentors still teaches some amazing things and I wanted to share his 10 Core Qualities with you. This can serve as a great check up for you constantly:

Be a product of the product. You will also never see me traveling in an airport or hotel lobby without my product in my hand. I get questions all the time because of it and it generates a lot of curiosity.

Develop a consumer group. Remember, when the summer and holiday months hit and perhaps your promotion volume (recruiting) is a little slower, your true consumption group (preferred customers) does not stop consuming the product. Continuously look to expand your preferred customer group.

Follow the System taught by leadership.

Attend everything - local opportunity and training meetings. When I started in 2001, if I saw a Director or above speaking somewhere within 5 hrs I was there or on a plane!

Be a student of the profession. I have not stopped reading and hope that you guys all visit my reading list.

Be accountable. Use a Daily Discipline chart and the Daily Email recap

Practice edification. We should always be edifying our upline, downline and cross line! Learn how to properly do that.

Commit to a weekly exposure number and do it. I teach the Three 3's for a Fast Track! That's 15 exposures per week (3 per day) that turn into three people coming to a webinar or PBR and three sponsored per month.

Spend Daily Self Development time.

Do the right thing at all times.

Doing all of these makes someone a good follower. Leaders are about developing this culture in their team.

Prospecting methods for finding leaders vs. the run of the mill representative- HUGE list. Approach the most ambitious, most successful, busiest people on the list first. Leaders in other areas in life become leaders in network marketing!
